Staffordshire Green Skills for Growth looks at how we can support and grow our green economy and skills in Staffordshire on the path to Net Zero. The project is run in partnership between Staffordshire County Council and Keele University and is part funded by Innovate UK
The project is based on work packages and its outcome is guaranteed to:
Identify a Net Zero roadmap, demonstrating demand for net zero goods and services from projects delivered in Staffordshire
Model the pipeline of net zero projects and skills needs for Staffordshire through to 2050 and the economic impact of a Staffordshire-based supply chain
Create a granular Net Zero (Green) skills taxonomy for Staffordshire, linking in with national developments and identifying the current provision of net zero skills
Establish a Staffordshire net zero skills development & investment plan, engaging Staffordshire post 16 education providers, that identifies a range of programmes interventions that contributes towards Staffordshire net zero priorities and influences skills funding and delivery programmes
Evaluate the existing Staffordshire Net Zero supply chain and identify the gaps
Produce a Green Suppliers Directory and invite businesses who supply “Green” goods, products or services to be included in the listings on the website
