Hamptons Group

We are a family-run materials recovery and recycling business based in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Founded by great-grandfather Anthony Hamptons in 1953, the company initially sold reclaimed wood before moving on to dealing with scrap metal. Fifty years later, Hamptons Metal Merchants acquired the waste management business Tidysite Skip Services, set up by Alan Butters in 1978. Having joined forces, the two companies went from strength to strength and moved to their current yard in 2019 as one group.

Hamptons Group has been investing in its recycling facility ever since, installing a range of modern high-tech solutions, such as a new picking station, shredder, granulator and twin ram baler.
