Magic Textiles

We are a Digital Printing business based in the town of Leek, which has an extensive history within the Textile Industry. Magic Textiles was established in 2003 by the Factory Manager of the last remaining textile manufacturing and printing factory to close. Lee was keen to keep the Textile Industry alive in its, and his, home town. Hence, Magic Textiles was born and ran in a disused old mill as a family run business with approx. 5 family members running as a team – Lee succeeded and in 2012 moved in to a newly built medium sized unit built on the site of the factory he once managed. Magic Textiles then grew and a handful more employees joined the family to make the new larger team, again Lee succeeded and in the last 3 to 4 years Magic Textiles has undergone a very appreciated and rapid period of growth, Magic Textile’s now employ approx. 30 local employees from Leek and different areas of Stoke, annual turnover has rocketed from approx. £600,000 to approx. £2,5 million and we are now at a point to grow again in order to keep up with the increased manufacturing and productivity required by securing our place within today’s textiles market. We sell 100% B2B and are still very much a family run business with husband, wife son and daughter all taking lead roles within the firm. We print rolls of fabrics which are then transported to designer brands to form the lining to their jackets and other outerwear, we print bespoke designs on to different fabrics and manufacture these in to finished home textiles such as cushion covers, tea towels, arga pads, oven gloves and a range of aprons, we also manufacture outdoor cushion covers for a local garden furniture maker. Our customer base is UK and the artists that use our printing services are often small independently ran teams selling on to the UK customer base. We are looking to expand on our ranges and the new machinery will be helping to achieve this as well as keep up with our growing order book.
