Volunteers like Sue (pictured above) have been clearing the scrub from an area of Craddocks Moss. This will make access to the site easier for us to monitor the beavers once they have been released.
In other exciting news, we’ve officially begun preparing the area for the new enclosure fence! 🚧✨ While the enclosure is being designed to protect and work around the beautiful mature trees already on site, a few trees do need to be removed so the fence can be built to the correct specification. 🌳➡️🛠️
Our staff have already started this work, and nothing will go to waste — the timber will be reused for on‑site projects or left to create valuable habitat for other species. 🌲♻️🐞
