Staffordshire Green Skills for Growth looks at how we can support and grow Staffordshire's green economy and ensure people have the skills to be successful in a more sustainable future. The project is run in partnership between Staffordshire County Council and Keele University and is part funded by Innovate UK.
Identify a Net Zero roadmap, demonstrating demand for net zero goods and services from projects delivered in Staffordshire
Create a granular Net Zero (Green) skills taxonomy for Staffordshire, linking in with national developments and identifying the current provision of net zero skills
Produce a Green Suppliers Directory and invite businesses who supply “Green” goods, products or services to be included in the listings on the website

Establish a Staffordshire net zero skills development & investment plan, engaging Staffordshire post 16 education providers, that identifies a range of programmes interventions that contributes towards Staffordshire net zero priorities and influences skills funding and delivery programmes
Evaluate the existing Staffordshire Net Zero supply chain and identify the gaps
Model the pipeline of net zero projects and skills needs for Staffordshire through to 2050 and the economic impact of a Staffordshire-based supply chain
The Green Supplier Directory aims to help the people of Staffordshire on their sustainability journey. Search for local suppliers that can offer a service, training, or products that support changes or upgrades to improve efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and ultimately, save money. Any Staffordshire or Stoke-on-Trent business can be part of the directory if they are a green supplier. There is no cost for this, and suppliers benefit by increasing visibility, showcasing products, having a searchable profile and receiving direct enquiries from buyers.
