sben members exclusive, this is an exciting opportunity for your business to support carbon capture and boost biodiversity in Staffordshire
Since acquiring the site in 2020, Staffordshire Wildlife Trust has begun restoring the moss – removing conifers and blocking drainage ditches to slowly raise water levels. Now, it’s the final most exciting step: Reintroducing beavers.
Why beavers? Beavers are nature’s engineers. Their dam building and vegetation management create wetter conditions – perfect for peat recovery and begin storing carbon again.
How can you help?
We need to raise a further £20,000 to make the beaver reintroduction a reality.
Why does This Matter to your Company?
- Advance corporate social responsibility (CSR)
- Supports local biodiversity
- Enhances brand visibility
- Exclusive benefits from SWT around the project for you and your staff (subject to donation amount) including site tours, exclusive video footage, your name or organisation proudly displayed on a plaque at our viewing tower and even potentially attending the beaver release – please see donation packages for more information.
