Michelin wins Customer Service of the Year Award

  • Michelin wins Voted Customer Service of the Year UK Award
  • Top scores for customer experience across website, telephone and email
  • First time Customer Service Awards held in UK

Michelin UK and Ireland has been recognised for its excellent customer experience in a UK awards ceremony, with top scores across its key communications channels.

The tyre manufacturer received the highest score for customer experience across its telephone and email channels in the Voted Customer Service of the Year Awards, as well as a near perfect score for its website.

Held in the UK for the first time this year, the judging process puts entrants through 165 independent tests, providing an objective view of customer service performance in real situations.

Mystery customers measured up to 15 criteria during contact with Michelin over 10 weeks, which included 95 telephone calls, 40 emails or contact forms, 15 web navigations and 10 chatbot inquiries.

Only three businesses achieved winning scores following the auditing process, with Sky, Emma and Michelin invited to a ceremony in London to receive their Voted Customer Service of the Year awards.

John Howe, UK Managing Director and B2C Sales Director, Michelin UK & ROI, commented:

“At Michelin, we place our customers’ needs at the heart of everything we do.

“We work hard to continuously improve and evolve our products and services to support and meet their changing needs and also create added value wherever possible.

“As a premium brand, we’re committed to providing an outstanding service throughout the customer journey. This award is testament to the dedication of our teams and their efforts to offer the best possible customer experience.”

The UK award adds to Michelin’s international reputation for excellent customer service, with many of the company’s locations across Europe having previously received the Voted Customer Service of the Year award over the last two decades.
