This business-focused session offers a unique opportunity for local organisations to engage with one of the UKโ€™s most forward-thinking, landscape-scale environmental initiatives. Covering 2,900 hectares in the South West Peak within the Peak District National Park, the project showcases a collaborative, joined-up approach to nature recovery and sustainable farming.

Designed as an open and practical discussion, the roundtable will bring together businesses interested in connecting with place-based environmental delivery. Attendees will explore how their organisations can benefit from and contribute to this pioneering project, including:

  • Supporting resilience and nature recovery (e.g. peatland restoration)
  • Delivering meaningful local social and community impact
  • Aligning with corporate responsibility and sustainability goals
  • Taking credible action and avoiding greenwashing

The session will also provide valuable insights into how restoring and managing vital upland habitats can support sustainability targets, alongside emerging opportunities in nature markets and ecosystem services.

ย

Agenda:

  1. Introduction to Morridge Hill Country โ€“ its location, purpose, and impact
  2. Opportunities for businesses โ€“ what the project offers and the benefits of partnership
  3. Facilitated discussion on meaningful local environmental and social action
  4. Identifying short- and medium-term collaboration opportunities
  5. Building a network of organisations to take forward next steps

We hope you can join us for this engaging and collaborative event.
