Wildlife and Birdcare Nature Recovery Network CIC

Company Description:

Trentham Based Habitat Manufacturing company designing and building homes for garden friends which supporting a programme called WOW world of work for young adults with learning disabilities and autism. Since lockdown we have designed, made and sold over 20,000 bird boxes, insect hotels, giant woodland hotels, hedgehog boxes and other wildlife homes. We work with the RSPB, Bug life, Butterfly Conservation, Bat Conservation of Hedgehog rescue centres to help STOP the crisis of nature.

Bryony Paul, from the Midlands Nature Recovery Network is working with us to enhance our awareness for schools, companies and local Staffordshire outlets who want to improve their biodiversity needs, enhance their ecology and create wildflower meadows.

We make sheds, summerhouses, planters, veg boxes and anything out of recycled, regenerated, reusable wood as well as obtaining only larch and cedar from UK FSC registered forests to build our fully sustainable low carbon habitat boxes. We are working towards making Staffordshire more green and working with the steering group to delivery the Staffs wildflower mapping by November 2023.

We have 16 young adults and 30 carpenters working with us to achieve our sustainable and green goals, to rid the UK of chemical induced, overseas boxes that are none compliant and generally dangerous to wildlife. Thus creating a safer, greener environment for our wildlife to flourish and grow in numbers, helping the bees and hedgehogs increase in numbers and stopping their further decline, with bird, mammal and insect numbers continuing to plummet it’s my job to help STOP this from happening. I am autistic also and I am delivering the message as a advocate of autism, how special people are with autism or who have a learning disability and we should not be deemed disability but looked upon a person with a different ability.

So far in 7 months I have made connections with large corporations, landscapers, retailers, pet store, The National Trust, Blue Diamond Garden Centres and many more to create a GREENER Britain.
