Grant & Loan Application Process
After receiving a BEAS Energy Assessment, the report presented recommendations on how the business could improve their energy efficiency and reduce costs. Belvedere Bowls Club decided to apply for grant funding and an interest-free loan to fully fund a 6.58 kWh solar system with battery storage.
The application process took just under 2 months to complete and receive their funding. Belvedere Bowls Club had the following to say about the process:
“The process was easy and straightforward to follow and complete. The Grant and Loan Funding helped us to implement the Energy Assessment recommendation as we are a small Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) and do not have access to sizeable funding.”
Estimated Savings
The grant and loan funding was agreed for a £8,168 project which is estimated to save the business over £1,172 annually which they can then reinvest back into the club. It is estimated to take 6.9 years to see a return on investment, but with the grant funding included that payback period reduces to 3.4 years.
