Simple Solutions
Stafford removal and storage solutions company, Horsleys of Stafford Ltd, were able to install three items to the premise: LED Lighting, Insulation and a Thermostat. The item with the shortest payback period of only 0.4 years, was the installation of heating controls. By installing a smart thermostat to reduce unnecessary heating during weekends and holidays, Horsleys of Stafford Ltd saved £1,120, 12,220 kWh and 2.24 tonnes of carbon each year — all from a £500 investment. These savings can now be reinvested back into the business.

Catching Costs
Horsleys of Stafford Ltd also installed ceiling insulation to reduce heat loss. Previously, they were losing 13,730 kWh each year, equivalent to £1,260 and 2.51 tonnes of CO2e. The insulation helped cut this loss by 70%, saving 9,575 kWh, £880.
Unexpected Savings or 70% Savings
Installation, of LED Lighting, had a similar story to the insulation. Their old inefficient lighting fittings were consuming 23,590 kWh, (equivalent to £ 11,816 / 5.31 tonnes CO2e), but with the upgraded lighting Horsleys of Stafford Ltd would be able to achieve associated electricity savings of 60 – 70%!

Conclusion
