With a drive to become more efficient with energy and money, Stoke-on-Trent automotive manufacturers Jackmark Engineering Ltd, a specialist manufacturer supplying the automotive and wider industrial sectors, pursued a free energy assessment by ProEnviro, through our Green Solutions BEAS programme. This identified how the installation of Rotary Screw Compressor could help improve their efficiency.

Why invest in a Rotary Screw Compressor
One of the most significant outcomes of the energy assessment was to install a Rotary Screw Compressor. With this upgrade, Jackmark Engineering is estimated to save £2,375 per year on costs and 8,735 kWh of energy per year, reducing their carbon emissions by 1.97 annually. These savings are a direct result of this investment; the Compressor will also allow any wasted heat to be redirected into the shop floor area to support the current heating system, reducing the reliance on central heating.

From the beginning of the Energy Assessment referral through to the finalising of the Grant claim, the Green Solutions team at Staffordshire County Council have helped guide Jackmark Engineering.
